Welcome to THEHARSHITA (theharshita.com). By visiting or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These Terms work together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Affiliate Disclosure and the How I Recommend Products page.

1. About this website

THEHARSHITA is operated by Harshita Tanwar, a shopping adviser and content creator based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India (“I”, “me”, “my”, “the site”). Contact: harshita@theharshita.com.

THEHARSHITA is a product guide, not a store. I publish guides, comparisons and opinions to help people choose products. I do not sell products, take orders, accept payments, ship goods or provide customer service for any seller. I am not a marketplace, an e-commerce entity or the seller of any product I mention.

2. Who may use this site

This site is for adults and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 in India, under 16 in the EEA (or the lower age set by a member state, not below 13), under 13 in the US and UK, or under the age set by the law of your country. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has given me data, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

3. Nature of the content

3.1 General information and opinion

Everything on this site is for general information and reflects my own opinions, research and experience at the time of writing. It is not professional advice of any kind, including medical, health, financial, investment, tax or legal advice. For decisions in those areas, please speak to a qualified professional.

3.2 How I recommend products

Each guide states whether I tested a product myself (“Tested”) or compared specifications, reviews and other sources (“Researched”). Please read How I Recommend Products for my full process. Reviews reflect my view, and your experience may be different.

3.3 Accuracy and updates

I try to keep information accurate and up to date, but I do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free. Prices, features, models, offers, availability and warranty terms change often and are controlled by the sellers. Always check the seller’s website for the latest details before you buy. If you notice a mistake, please Let me know and I will review it.

3.4 Product safety and suitability

A product’s inclusion on this site does not mean it is suitable or safe for you. Please read the seller’s instructions, labels, ingredient lists and warnings. Skincare, wellness, baby, electrical and similar products need particular care. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

4. Affiliate links, commissions and sponsored content

  • Affiliate links. Many links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, I may earn a commission from the seller at no additional cost to you. A commission does not decide what I recommend. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
  • Sponsored, gifted or collaborative content. If a brand pays me, gives me a product or has another material connection with me, I will say so clearly, near the start of the relevant content. I follow the disclosure rules that apply to my audience, including Indian advertising and consumer-protection rules and ASCI guidelines, and, for international readers, rules such as those of the US FTC and the UK ASA.
  • Amazon. “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases from Amazon Associate India, Amazon Associate US and Amazon Associate Canada.”

  • No obligation to buy. You are never required to use my links. You can go directly to a seller’s website instead.

5. Your dealings with sellers and third parties

When you click a link and leave this site, you deal directly with the seller or other third party. Any purchase, payment, delivery, warranty, return, refund, complaint or dispute is between you and that seller. I am not a party to that transaction and I am not responsible for the seller’s products, prices, service, advertising claims or privacy practices. Their terms and policies apply. Please read them before you buy.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 My content

The text, guides, comparisons, graphics, logos, layout, the name “THEHARSHITA” and other material I create are owned by me or used with permission and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957, trademark law and other laws. You may:

  • read and view the content for your personal, non-commercial use;
  • share a link to a page;
  • quote a short extract with clear credit and a link back to the original page.

You may not, without my written permission, copy, republish, scrape, sell, translate, adapt or use my content for commercial purposes, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems, except where the law clearly allows it.

6.2 Third-party names and images

Brand names, logos, product names and images belong to their owners. I use them only to identify products. Their appearance does not mean the owner endorses me or this site, or that I am affiliated with them, unless I say so. References to companies where I have worked describe my own career history only.

7. Comments and messages you send me

If you post a comment or send me content, you confirm that it is yours, that it is lawful and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights. You give me a non-exclusive, free licence to display it on the site in connection with the discussion. I may edit, hide or delete any comment at my discretion. I may share a message you send me only with your permission, apart from where the law requires. Please do not send sensitive personal data.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break any law or the rights of anyone else;
  • post unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, defamatory, obscene or misleading content;
  • spam, send unsolicited promotions or post links to harmful sites;
  • try to hack, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its users’ data;
  • use bots, scrapers or automated tools to collect data or content;
  • click affiliate links by automated means, or use deception or fake clicks to create commissions;
  • pretend to be me or someone else.

I may remove content, block access or report conduct to the authorities if you break these rules.

9. Brand and business enquiries

Brands that contact me should note that I do not promise to review or feature any product. Any partnership is decided at my discretion, is disclosed on the site, and does not guarantee a positive opinion. I do not accept payment to change my honest assessment.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, this site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. I make no promise that the site will always be available, secure or free from errors, viruses or interruptions, or that it will meet your needs. I do not guarantee any particular result from using my advice. Nothing here promises any income, discount, price or outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from any purchase you make from a third party after reading my content. Where the law does not allow me to exclude liability, my total liability to you for all claims will be limited to INR 1000 /-. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any rights you have as a consumer under Indian law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to compensate me for losses, claims and reasonable costs that arise from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the site or content you submit, to the extent the law allows.

13. Links to other websites

This site contains links to external websites that I do not control. I am not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on that site.

14. Privacy and cookies

How I collect and use personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. By using the site, you acknowledge them. Where the law requires your consent, I ask for it separately.

15. Copyright and content complaints

If you believe that content on this site infringes your copyright or other rights, email harshita@theharshita.com with the subject “Content complaint” and include: your name and contact details, a description of the work, the exact web address of the content, why you believe it infringes your rights, and a statement that your complaint is made in good faith and is accurate. I will review it promptly and may remove or amend the content where appropriate.

16. Suspension and termination

I may suspend or stop your access to the site, or change or discontinue any part of it, at any time and without notice, particularly if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will continue after termination.

17. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and applies from then. If a change is significant, I will make it clear on the site. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact me first, so we can try to settle any concern informally within 30 days. If that does not work, the dispute will be resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator in India, in English. This does not limit any right you have as a consumer to approach a consumer court where you live, or any mandatory protection of the law where you live.

19. General

  • Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the policies linked above, are the whole agreement between you and me about the site.
  • Severability: if any part is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
  • No waiver: if I do not enforce a right at once, I do not give it up.
  • Assignment: I may transfer my rights and duties under these Terms, for example if the site is sold. You may not transfer yours without my written consent.
  • Events beyond my control: I am not responsible for failures caused by events outside my reasonable control, such as outages, network failures, natural events or government action.
  • Language: the English version of these Terms prevails if a translation differs.
